Key Information

Since its inception in 1996, Hari Bhoomi has emerged as a trusted voice in Indian journalism, dedicated to delivering timely, reliable, and community-centered news. What began as a modest weekly Hindi-language newspaper has evolved into one of the most prominent regional daily newspapers in India, with a strong presence across multiple states.

From Weekly Beginnings to Daily Reach

Hari Bhoomi was founded on September 5, 1996, as a weekly newspaper catering to Hindi-speaking readers. Recognizing the growing demand for daily news coverage, the publication transitioned into a daily format in November 1997, launching its first daily edition from Rohtak. This marked the beginning of its commitment to provide comprehensive news coverage across the entire state of Haryana.

Following this success, Hari Bhoomi expanded its reach with the launch of the Delhi Edition in April 1998, extending its journalistic footprint to Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurgaon.

Expansion Across Central India

In a significant move to serve central India, Hari Bhoomi launched its Bilaspur Edition in March 2001, entering the Chhattisgarh market. This was followed by the Raipur Edition in June 2002, enabling the newspaper to cover almost the entirety of Chhattisgarh and even parts of Odisha.

Continuing its expansion, the newspaper ventured into Madhya Pradesh with the launch of its Jabalpur Edition in October 2008. This expansion was later strengthened with the addition of the Bhopal Edition, further solidifying Hari Bhoomi’s presence in the central Indian news landscape.

Beyond News: Enriching Lives with Value-Added Content

What sets Hari Bhoomi apart is its dedication to offering more than just daily headlines. With a focus on family-oriented content and social engagement, the newspaper publishes a range of weekly magazines that cater to diverse age groups and interests. These include:

  • Saheli – for women readers

  • Balbhoomi – focused on children

  • Manzil – targeting youth audiences

  • Ravivar Bharti – designed for family readership

  • Rangarang – entertainment-focused

  • Choupal – a cultural digest

In addition to print media, Hari Bhoomi contributes to readers’ lives with practical resources such as calendars, directories, and road maps. The group also actively organizes events, including seminars, cultural programs, and competitions for women and children, fostering community participation and engagement.

A Trusted Name in Regional Media

With a rich history rooted in grassroots journalism, Hari Bhoomi has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of its readers. Its regional editions reflect a deep understanding of local issues, providing readers with news that’s not only relevant but also resonant with their daily lives.
