Transmission License Application under the Electricity Act 2003

An application under Sections 14 & 15 of the Electricity Act 2003 has been filed by POWERGRID Khavda IV-E2 Power Transmission Limited for establishing an Inter-State transmission system in Khavda area of Gujarat.

The project includes the augmentation of transformation capacity at KPS2, establishment of 400 kV bays for renewable energy interconnection, and the implementation timeframe is 21 months from the date of SPV acquisition.

Central Transmission Utility of India Limited has recommended the grant of a transmission license to the applicant. The Commission has proposed to issue a transmission license based on the application and material on record.

Interested parties can access the application and submit suggestions or objections by 25.10.2024. The Commission will hold a hearing on 28.10.2024.
