Job Description – Electrician / Electrical ITI (MGM Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai)

MGM Medical College, a reputed institution known for excellence in medical education and healthcare services, invites qualified and experienced professionals to join our technical team as Electrician / Electrical ITI. This role is ideal for skilled individuals with hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation, particularly within institutional or hospital environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems, equipment, and installations across the campus. Candidates must hold a valid PWD License and possess strong technical knowledge along with a proactive and safety-conscious approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical components, identify faults, and ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Handle electrical installations and preventive maintenance in compliance with safety standards.
• Support power supply management, generator operations, and UPS systems.
• Coordinate with maintenance and facility management teams to ensure smooth functioning of all electrical utilities.
• Maintain proper documentation of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with institutional and statutory electrical safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and provide immediate corrective action.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ITI certification in Electrical Trade from a recognized institution.
• Possession of a valid PWD (Public Works Department) Electrical License is mandatory.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within hospitals, colleges, or large institutions preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and respond efficiently to emergencies.
