Applications Invited for Chief Executive Officer Position at U.P.L.D.B.

Applications are Invited for the post of CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER in U.P.L.D.B. in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 and Grade Pay Rs. 10000 applicable under 7th Pay Commission with admissible allowances under State Govt. rules from the persons employed or have been in the Central/State/Semi-Government office autonomous organization of state/GOI and other reputed private institutions. The appointment will be made purely on contract basis only. However admissible pay may not be less than the last pay drawn by the applicant in his or her parent department prior to during the post of CEO U.P.L.D.B. (here pay means substantive pay as per FHB Vol. Il Part-2 to 4).

NUMBER OF POST-1(One): AGE: Candidate should not be more than 60 years of age as on 21.10.2024.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Overall management of Livestock Development Board and its financial planning and implementation aspects in order to streamline the schemes of State Govt. Job requires the liaison with departments of GOI ICAR institutes and interactions with state veterinary officials. Ministry of Fisheries Animal Husbandry and Dairying Govt. of India/Govt. of Uttar Pradesh as well.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.V.Sc. & A.H. with M.Sc. from Veterinary Colleges/Organization/Institutes recognized by Veterinary Council of India.
• M.V.Sc. in Animal Genetics and Breeding/Animal Reproduction (Gynecology and Obstetrics/Livestock Production & Management/Animal Physiology/Animal Nutrition from Veterinary Colleges/Organization/Institutes recognized by Veterinary Council of India. For the said post preference may be given in the following order. 1. M.V.Sc. in Animal Genetics and Breeding 2. M.V.Sc. in Animal Reproduction/Gynecology and Obstetrics 3. M.V.Sc. in LPM 4. M.V.Sc. in Animal Physiology 5. M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition and/or 12-year experience (09 years in field of veterinary practice/research/teaching and 03 years in managerial capacity). Experience in the required field will be necessary.
• Applicant from Govt/Semi Govt. organization must be in pay scale of Rs. 37400- 67000 and Grade Pay Rs. 10000 applicable as per 7th pay commission.

Candidate must have a proven record of handling breeding programme of Central/ State Govt.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience of working in accredited deep frozen semen production and implementation of A.I./Breeding programme in the field/Institution/university or similar organization.
• Managerial experience of any accredited Deep Frozen Centre/State Livestock Development Board/ICAR institution/university or other similar organization.
• However, the selection Committee reserves the right to relax the age/essential/preferential qualification/experience as a special case.

PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT:

Initial appointment will be for 2 years which may be extended further depending on the officer’s performance. Annual appraisal of performance of the concerned officer will be done by the Chairman/Board of Directors of U.P.L.D.B. yearly and if performance is not found satisfactory, the contract may be terminated with a notice of 30 days.
